This book brings together the photographic work of Paraguayan artist Alfredo Quiroz, who, through his images, invites us to reflect on identity, history, memory, and the fleeting beauty that surrounds us. *There is no past without an archive* is an anachronistic convergence of images that form part of the artist's creative process, encompassing his personal and family history, the history of art, and Paraguayan history. It includes texts by Colombian art historian Christian Padilla, Argentine art critic Adriana Almada, and Paraguayan historians Ticio Escobar, Damián Cabrera, and Ana Barreto Vilanotti. This publication is part of the first Impronta 2023 award, granted by the Oxígeno Art Fair in Paraguay.
