Sara Facio has been a protagonist and a committed witness to 50 years of Argentina's cultural and photographic life. Most of the prominent figures of the century mentioned in this study have been interviewed by her for various media; she has met them and they have shown her their original photographs. Many have entrusted her with documents, memories, award-winning photos, and archives. This volume is a narrative where the historical, the aesthetic, and the theoretical converge. The focus is not on the first photo, but on THE BEST. Facio confesses that this is her "Museum of the Gaze," where she has chronologically included the most beautiful and significant images in the entire history of Argentine photography.
