Photography
Description
From the Imagen latente collection, this work arises from the need to achieve an approach to the real world of the character through the most testimonial, spontaneous, and intimate graphic representation known: photography. The texts will serve only as a documentary support to place the images in their time and circumstances. They will be based on the work of the protagonists and on the dialogues that Sara had with them during different encounters, trying to reconstruct them and highlighting words or expressions that reflect their everyday language. Julio Cortázar never stopped referring to his country and his people. His residence in Paris did not prevent him from continuing to think about and dream of Buenos Aires, nor from continuing to enjoy his friends through the years and countless trips. In this volume, we see him from 1967, shortly before his physical appearance and socio-political ideas began to change, in Paris and in Buenos Aires. This book was first published in 2004, honoring not only the writer but also the friend he was, on the twentieth anniversary of his death.
