Description
On a Saturday night, two teenagers serendipitously encounter each other in a bar in the town. They don't think about forming a couple, about building a lasting bond; they don't even think about love. However, by the end of the night, before saying goodbye, they kiss. They barely grasp that kiss as their first.
The passion of their twenties is followed by the difficulties of cohabiting and building a partnership. They recognize each other, but as time goes by, they are no longer the same nor the person they had chosen on that first night. Doubts, jealousy, deceit, separations, and reunions arise. Children and marriage come along. Years pass, couples therapy, a miscarriage, deaths, and that constant struggle for what they love.
This story has been told thousands of times and will be told thousands more.
They are two lovers who have been telling each other their stories day by day for twenty-five years. They seek each other in words and images; it is their way of recognizing each other and each one separately. Time seems to have changed them; however, in every detail, a trace of that primal fire can be found.
