As a result of meticulous study and restoration work, a collection of paintings from the Juan B Castagnino Municipal Museum of Fine Arts in Rosario has been carefully preserved. In 1999, the museum decided to subject a group of its most significant artworks to a treatment that would ensure better conservation conditions. They received assistance from the National Academy of Fine Arts and the Antorchas Foundation for this purpose. The restoration efforts were coordinated by Mercedes de las Carreras.
