The Baja Moda project explores two key aspects of contemporary Latin American culture: identity and resistance. Pablo López Luz recounts that while working on another project throughout Latin America, he began documenting the facades of businesses and shoe stores that still stood, unaffected by the passage of time, unconcerned with the trends of modern and globalized culture, seemingly in opposition to the economic trend of foreign manufacturing.
