As part of the exhibition Idées fixes by Cecilia Szalkowicz, curated by Mariano Mayer, we present a new cycle of films screened at the Cinema Museum.
This film, directed by French filmmaker Claire Denis, is part of a collection of nine television films directed by various French filmmakers called All the Boys and Girls of Their Age (1994). Set in the late 1960s around an American military base on the outskirts of Paris, U.S. Go Home (1994) tells the story of two friends, Martine and Marlene, who are transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. The film explores how the loss of innocence and changes in their lives threaten to distance the two young women as they face the complexities of growing up.
This activity is part of the program offered by Fundación Larivière as an associated venue of the International Architecture Biennale of Buenos Aires. In the framework of its 19th edition, which will take place from October 9 to 13 at the Faena Art Center in Puerto Madero, the International Architecture Biennale of Buenos Aires will develop an unprecedented program throughout October, covering more than 10 cultural venues with exclusive content and a public circuit in Puerto Madero.
We invite you to participate in the screening of the film and the interdisciplinary activities of the International Architecture Biennale of Buenos Aires.
We extend our special thanks to Claire Denis for sharing U.S. Go Home with us.
No prior registration is required for this activity.
We look forward to seeing you!
