Wedding images rescued from the archive of Venegas Fine Photography. A photographic studio established by the artist's father in Tijuana, Baja California, since 1972. The photographer portrays the routines that defined the iconography of the emerging middle class that inhabited this border city during the 1970s and 1980s, appropriating a series of images that, by breaking the social contract between photographer and subjects, exhibit the volatile and fragile condition of subjectivity in a place and time of radical transition.
