One of the richest private collections of Latin American photography, that of Stanislas and Leticia Poniatowski, serves as the starting point for the project "Urbes Mutantes" (Mutant Cities). This project brings together images from different cities in this geographical, cultural, historical, and social region, aiming to showcase them in their elusive condition, revealing the aesthetics, ideals, and hopes that have been captured regarding "modernity" since the mid-20th century. The book has been awarded the PhotoEspaña 2013 prize for the best national photography book.
