This book discusses the construction of the ESMA Museum, participating in a necessary debate for the definition of its form and content. It brings together in one volume historical essays, proposals, testimonies, visual works, and ideas, sometimes conflicting. The diversity and richness of approaches and viewpoints converge in shaping the future of the Space for Memory and Human Rights, which occupies the site where the Navy Mechanics School (ESMA), an emblematic center of torture and extermination during the Argentine military dictatorship (1976-1983), once stood.
