In 2006, Mexican photographer Yvonne Venegas was invited by Fundación Televisa to undertake an artist project documenting the final months of the filming of the telenovela Rebelde, as well as part of the concert tour of the group RBD in the United States. The telenovela achieved great success by blending fiction with reality through the creation of a musical group with the main protagonists. The group, named RBD, was brought into the real world and became a global pop phenomenon. The version presented by Venegas in this book offers an alternative to the image produced in a commercial language already trademarked by Televisa, focusing on the fragile and "insignificant" moments that occurred before or after the cameras recorded the official version.
