Mantilla, Gilda
Peruvian artist. She studied painting at the Faculty of Art at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in Lima between 1990 and 1994, where she graduated with a thesis titled "Portable Aesthetics: An Approach to Urban Popular Aesthetics." She was a member of Espacio La Culpable, Lima (2002-2008). In 2015, she represented Peru at the 56th Venice Biennale alongside her artistic partner Raimond Chaves. Her works are included in collections such as MoMA, Guggenheim, the Museum of Art of Lima, and MUSAC, among others.
