Lupercio, José María
Mexican artist (1870-1927). He initially studied painting at Félix Bernardelli's workshop, where he would meet Gerardo Murillo (better known as Dr. Atl), Rafael Ponce de León, and Jorge Enciso. However, he gradually dedicated himself to the profession of photography, especially after taking over Octaviano de la Mora's photographic studio. Later on, Lupercio moved to Mexico City, where he was appointed photographer of the National Museum, a position he held until his death.
