Foto Mandri

Studio of Juan Fidel Mandri (1891-1969), who was born in Bilbao and settled in Argentina in 1917. He later established himself in Mar del Plata two years later. Initially, he traveled with a mobile darkroom cart along the circuit of the rural estates from the city to Tandil. As social activities and tourism in Mar del Plata grew, he opened two shops on the waterfront - Fotos Mandri and Fotito - and during the summer seasons, he assembled teams to meet the high demand. He retired around 1958, but his son continued his work.
