Diniz, José
Brazilian photographer. He studied photography at Cândido Mendes University, the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro, and the School of Visual Arts at Parque Lage, all in Rio de Janeiro. He is the author of Literariamente (2009) and Periscope (2014), which was nominated as one of the best books of 2014 by ICP, MEP, Lens Culture, and others. He has participated in various publications in Brazil and abroad. He has also produced numerous artist books that are held in collections in Brazil, Argentina, the United States, and Europe. In January 2013, the British Journal of Photography published his portfolio as "Ones to Watch: the Talent Issue." In 2011, he participated in the International Discoveries III exhibition, a biennial selection of twelve photographers worldwide curated by FotoFest from the United States. He works and lives in Rio de Janeiro.
