Of Italian origin, he had a long and significant professional career in Rosario, Santa Fe province, from 1880 to 1911, when he returned to his home country. His studio was one of the most important in the city during those years. He published the album titled Gabriel Carrasco: el Chaco santafesino. Álbum con fotos originales conteniendo las vistas fotográficas tomadas en marzo y abril de 1887, during the journey undertaken by the sociologist and historian Gabriel Carrasco, general commissioner of the first census of the province of Santa Fe, to the Chaco Austral, in the northern region of the province of Santa Fe.
