Chaves, Raimond
Colombian artist. He studied art at the University of Barcelona, where he lived until 1996. Since then, he has lived in Colombia, Puerto Rico, and finally Peru. His active work is developed through performances, exhibitions, workshops, and conferences. He has showcased his work both individually and alongside Peruvian artist Gilda Mantilla. Among his various publications, notable ones include América (1995), Los ladrones de dinamita (2000), Enviado especial (2007), and Dibujando América (with Gilda Mantilla, 2009). His work is included in public collections in London, New York, Miami, San Francisco, Arizona, Santiago de Compostela, León, Madrid, Santander, Lima, and Puerto Rico, as well as in private collections in China, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany. He has been working and living in Lima since 2002.
