Parera, Aníbal
Aníbal Parera is an Argentinean biologist, writer and photographer (Buenos Aires, 1970). Graduated from Buenos Aires University (UBA), carried out research on wild animals and headed actions in organisations such as Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina, Aves Argentinas, National Parks Administration and Alliance for the Grasslands.
Parera’s work has reached countries far and wide, such as Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, USA, Canada, Indonesia, Spain, England, Germany, Italy, France and Holland.
His texts and photographs have been included in some 500 articles and over a dozen books. Directed specialised publications such as “Vida Silvestre” and “Aves Argentinas, Naturaleza & Conservación”. Awarded the “Pirámide de Plata” (1997), “Premio Adepa” (Asociación de Periodistas Argentinos, 1999 and 2003), “Conservar el Futuro” (Asociación Parques Nacionales, 2003), “Glass Award” (US Forest Service, 2016) and “Fernando Lahille” (Fundación Museo de La Plata, 2019).
Currently lives with his wife and children in the city of Mercedes (Corrientes), dedicated to his literary work and documentary films.
