Weinstein, Luis

Photographer and teacher, cultural manager, journalist, television presenter. He has also worked as a curator and producer of photographic exhibitions and in coordinating the Chilean photography festivals FotoAmérica and the International Photography Festival of Valparaíso (FiFV). He was a member of the AFI collective (Association of Independent Photographers) – president in '83 - and has been part of the photographic community since the early 1980s. He produces exhibitions of great photographers in Chile such as Robert Doisneau, Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank, or Sergio Larraín, among others. With his personal work, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and published six photography books. He founded and edits the South American Photography Magazine "Sueño de la Razón," a collective publishing platform integrated by editors from all countries in the region. He has served as a jury member for various competitions, including POY Latam (2013), World Press Photo multimedia (2014), BES Photo (2014), and Felifa (2016).
