Vengoechea, Julio
A naturalized Venezuelan, he was one of the pioneers in photographic art in Venezuela. In addition to developing his work as an artist, he founded the photographic archive of the National Library. One of the most emblematic photography schools in the country bears his name in Maracaibo, his adopted city. His shots blur the urban landscape, transforming it into powerful images where color guides the metamorphosis of the city's everyday life into impactful abstract compositions.
