Terán, Pedro

Between 1961 and 1964, Terán studied at the "Cristóbal Rojas" School of Fine Arts in Caracas. He began exhibiting individually in 1964. He continued his artistic training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (1964-1966) and at the London Film School in London (1972-1974). Since the late 1960s, his work has been characterized by his engagement with different mediums: photography, interventions in urban and rural public spaces, performances, and installations. Pedro Terán is considered one of the pioneers in achieving the appreciation, understanding, and dissemination of conceptual art in Venezuela.
