Srur, Alfredo
Since 1996, he has been developing a personal body of work that has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Spain, France, and Germany, among others. Since 2001, he has been teaching photography workshops. He has published the books "Geovany No Quiere Ser Rambo, una historia de Medellín" (Colección Fotógrafos Argentinos, 2010) and "Heridas" (Galerie Julian Sander, Germany, 2016). He has received grants from the National Fund for the Arts, the Avina grant (Brazil), and the Metropolitan Fund for Culture, Arts, and Sciences. He was the winner of the Sporting Nations Project contest, bicentennial 2010, and the III Photographic Contest Not the Same, Not Equal from the Public Defender's Office of CABA. His work is part of the permanent collection of the Regional Center for Photography Nord Pas-de-Calais (France), the National Museum of Fine Arts (Argentina), FOLA (Latin American Photography Library), Galerie Julian Sander (Germany), and the Collection Leticia and Stanislas Poniatowski (Mexico), among others. Since 2014, he has been the Director and Founder of CIFHA (Argentine Historical Photographic Research Center), a non-profit organization dedicated to the research, preservation, and enhancement of Argentine photographic heritage from the mid-19th century to the late 20th century. Since 2018, he has been the President of Inter Artis Argentina, a collective management association that administers copyright in national photography.
