Noval, Liborio

Liborio began working as a market researcher at Publicitaria SIBONEY in January 1952. In 1957, he moved to the photography department of that agency, where he worked as a photographer until February 1960. In January 1959, he started working as a lab technician at the newspaper Periódico Revolución, becoming a photographer in 1960. Also in 1960, he worked for eight months at the magazine INRA. He worked at Periódico Revolución until October 1965 and continued at Granma, its successor, with which he worked and collaborated until his death. His photos were published in national and international magazines, as well as in photography books. He served as a judge in several photography contests and participated with two works in the Humanitarian Auction of the Casa de las Américas on the occasion of the Havana Biennial in 2000. He also contributed two works to the humanitarian auction for the Chappard Foundation in Venezuela to raise funds against AIDS.
