Jurado, Carlos
In 1944, he began studying painting at La Esmeralda with notable masters such as Antonio Ruiz el Corso and María Izquierdo. Over the years, he has engaged in various activities, both in artistic production and academia. His work is characterized by experimentation with antique photographic processes. In 1973, he began his photographic work, almost always using pinhole cameras constructed by himself. He held various leadership positions at the Universidad Veracruzana, where he established, for the first time in Mexico, a Bachelor's degree program in Photography. In 1968, UNAM organized a retrospective exhibition of his work at the Museo Universitario del Chopo. Currently, he continues to work independently in his studio. In 1974, UNAM published his book "El arte de la aprehensión de las imágenes y el unicornio" (The Art of Image Capture and the Unicorn).
