Jaramillo, Beatriz
He studied fine arts at the University of Antioquia and later architecture at the Pontifical University of Medellín. In 2000, he obtained a master's degree in fine arts from the National University of Colombia. His work involves a dialogue between painting, video, and photography. For his series "Zócalo" or "Frisos," he develops a systematic approach and attention to detail, combining documentary research and abstract pictorial construction. Among his recent solo exhibitions are "El Silencio" (2000) and "Lugar Imagen" (2002), both held at the National University of Colombia in Medellín. Among the collective exhibitions he has participated in are "Proyecto Mapa," exhibited in Bogotá, Caracas, and Puerto Inírida, and "Horizontes" in Medellín.
