Heredia, Jorge

Peruvian photographer. He studied Fine Arts at the Catholic University of Lima and later pursued film studies at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. He employs a primitive poetics in his photographic work. His images, often rendered in sepia tones, capture the everyday details of the urban environment. His work has been the subject of many innovative and experimental exhibitions in Lima. He has published two books of photographs: Ritual (1997) and Lima Street View (2014). He has also been involved in filmmaking, poetry, criticism, and translation. He has been residing in Amsterdam for over thirty years.
