Friedman, Sebastián
"I can say that since my beginnings in 1994, photography is the only thing I have never abandoned. In my work, I move comfortably in the territory of the veiled, the invisibilized by everyday life, or what we simply pretend not to see. My projects arise from discomfort, almost like an attempt to exorcise pain, and deep down, I hope they help to denaturalize what we insist on calling 'normalcy.' In my current practice, the boundaries of photography and its inherent individualism overflow through forays into collective work, including dance, theater, the digital universe, animation, video, radio, and teaching, where there are no borders between each language." - Sebastián Friedman.
