Cuevas, José Luis
Graduated in Creative Visualization from the University of Communication in 2000. Two years later, he also graduated from the Document and Fiction program at the Center of the Image. In 2004, he was awarded the International Photojournalism Prize in the city of Gijón, Asturias. He was a recipient of the Young Creators Program scholarship in 2007-2008 and received a grant from the National System of Art Creators for the period 2010-2016. He was an artist in residence in France, in Orleans, and in Colombia, in Bogotá. He was honored by the Sony World Photography Awards in 2010 and received the FUMCA Mexican Contemporary Photography Prize in Coahuila in 2014. His works are preserved in public and private collections in Mexico and around the world.
