A sailor and documentary photographer, for Becquer Casaballe, photography was a personal way of establishing a solid relationship with society based on ethical principles. “My intention with my photographs is neither to perform some sociological study nor to express myself in an artistic sense. My images seek to be documents with meaning and, if some of them succeed in this way, I am satisfied.” He was also the editor of the magazine Fotomundo.
