Arango, Diego

(Colombia 1942-2017)

Since the 1960s, Arango has developed various artistic languages, such as painting, photography and film. He produced visual anthropology works in Colombia’s rural and indigenous areas and got together with other like-minded artists to found the Solidarity Committee for Political Prisoners CSPP in 1973. He was a member of Taller 4 Rojo and later of Causa Roja, the artistic activist groups of the 1970s.
