Gandolfo, Flavia

An outstanding photographer of the ‘90s, Gandolfo’s work expresses her personal vision of the relationship between photography and reality. To begin with, her work was influenced by the visual codes of portraiture and direct photography, but she went on to experiment with strategies derived from collage, photomontage and weaving, using materials taken from books, school pictures and personal documents.
