Sobarzo, Guadalupe

Sobarzo joined the Grupo Suma in 1977, a collective of artists who rebelled against established artistic practices and were closely involved in social struggles. The Group’s raison d’etre was about rejecting the spaces where art is traditionally produced, preferring the street as a medium for action, inspiration and dissemination, thus distinguishing itself from the muralists of the previous generation.
