Montecino, Marcelo

As a photojournalist, Montecino has witnessed the unfolding of political and social processes throughout Latin America from the 1960s to the end of the 1980s. His photos reveal a marked sense of identity, shifting between melancholy and reality. He left photojournalism in the 1990s to embark upon a phase of introspective work, producing a series of publications and exhibitions.
