Haya, María Eugenia
(Cuba 1944-1991)
As a photographer and researcher investigating the history of Cuban and Latin American photography, Haya founded the Fototeca de Cuba, curating some of the country’s leading exhibitions of Cuban photography. She authored several books and articles, including Apuntes para un estudio de la fotografía en Cuba (Notes for a study of photography in Cuba), and La fotografía cubana en el siglo XIX (Cuban photography in the 19th century).
