Jaramillo's work is characterized by the use of bright colors in flat areas and simplified designs, inspired by expressionist pop art. The subjects of her painting (female shapes, voluptuous women, salsa dancers, romantic couples) are a reflection on the behavior and mores of contemporary Colombian culture.
