Wittke, Oscar

Both photographer and writer, Wittke is an expert in the history of photography, as the author of Oscar Wittke. Imágenes fotográficas 1979-1992 (Photographic images 1979-1992) and the novels El invunche (The imbunche) and La ciudad sin nombre (The city without a name), among other works. His retrospective show Fotos, huellas y montajes/1979-2004, (Photos, footprints and montages) )held as part of the mega exhibition Foto América 2004, was chosen as that year’s best national exhibition by the Circle of Art Critics.
