Crotto, Paz

Paz Crotto (1985) lives and works in San Carlos de Bariloche. She collects old cameras, vernacular and stereoscopic photographs from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, she created the website "Abrir el tiempo", a collective historical recollection. The book "Te amo, yo también" (Ediciones Larivière, 2017) is her first editorial experience as a compiler. She graduated from USAL as Journalist (2009), Professional Photographer from Escuela de Fotografía Creativa (2007) and has a diploma in Photographic Conservation from Universidad de Buenos Aires (2015).

Her work has been selected in various contest and awards, such as Beca Creación del Fondo Nacional de las Artes (2019), Premio Itaú Cultural a las Artes Visuales (2019-2020); she was finalist in Premio ArtexArte (2019), Photo Patagonia (2019), Concurso Artes Visuales Fondo Nacional de las Artes (2018), Premio Internacional Felifa (2018), Residencia ACE (2017), jury mention in Premio Estímulo de Fotografía Ayerza (2016), Descubrimientos PHotoEspaña (2015).

Among her exhibits: Complejo Cultural Santa Cruz, Casa del Bicentenario, Sala Frey, La Llave, Museo Sívori, Art Gallery Peña, ACEnite, Slideluck, Quimera del Arte, Zona Imaginaria, Espacio Contemporáneo de Arte Mendoza y Centro Cultural Borges.
