Zout, Helen
(Argentina 1957)
For 30 years, Zout has been producing photographic works entwining her own history with the social, political, and cultural problems of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Her photographs have given a voice to the pain she herself has experienced, as well as the families of the ‘disappeared’, inmates in psychiatric hospitals, immigrants from indigenous communities, and children suffering from AIDS.
