Zimmermann, Marcos
Marcos was born in Buenos Aires in 1950. He studied film at the Experimental Center of the Instituto Nacional de Cinematografía in the city, and later worked as a stills photographer for Argentine and foreign films. He lived in Rome for three years, working as a freelance photographer. He has lived in Argentina since 1982, publishing 12 books of his photographs exploring the country’s identity, including Plantas autóctonas de Argentina (2005) and Desnudos sudamericanos (2009). He has received numerous awards and his work forms part of the collections of museums and leading collectors all over the world.
