Frank, Robert

Born in 1924 in Zurich, Switzerland, where he began his long career as a photographer. A tireless traveler, he lived for many years in the United States. He is well-known for his series of New Yorkers photographed from a bus. He also carried out cinema film work. In 1976 he developed a new photographic language when he began to work with Polaroids and compose collages using images and text.
