Longoni, Eduardo
Argentine photographer born in 1959. After studying three years of History at the University of Buenos Aires, he began his professional career as a photographer at the Noticias Argentinas agency, where he eventually became a photo editor. In 1987, he created his own agency, EPD/PHOTO, which provides coverage for both national and international publications. His photographs, especially those related to the Argentine military dictatorship, have been exhibited in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, the United States, France, Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Egypt, Japan, and the former Soviet Union. In 1981, he was one of the founders of the exhibition "El periodismo gráfico argentino," the most prestigious showcase of Argentine photojournalism. His work has received numerous awards. In 2013, the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires named him a distinguished figure in the culture.
